The listings tell you when a Garba night starts. They rarely tell you what the night does — and in Ahmedabad the shape of an evening is fairly consistent: an opening aarti, a slow warm-up circle, the peak hours, then a late Mandli stretch for whoever is still standing.

Aarambh 4.0 is a one-night pre-Navratri Garba at Sola Bhagwat Vidyapith on 8 October, three days before the main nine nights begin. Pre-Navratri dates like this one are how a lot of Ahmedabad groups test their choreography and their outfits before committing to a season pass elsewhere.

Ahmedabad grounds open anywhere from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in 2026. That four-hour spread is the single most useful filter nobody uses. A 10:00 PM start is not a late version of an 8:00 PM event — it is a deliberate decision to sell only the peak and Mandli hours, at a price that reflects it.
Parking fills roughly an hour before the floor peaks at every major ground. Re-entry rules vary and are not always stated on the listing. And chaniya choli plus a nine-hour night on an open ground means dust — a spare pair of shoes in the car is the cheapest improvement you can make to the evening.

Across the Ahmedabad 2026 listings, start times range from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Most open grounds start between 8:00 and 9:00 PM, and the late AC dome productions start at 10:00 PM.
Main floors usually run to around midnight. Venues with a Mandli section continue past that, sometimes to 2:00 AM or later, though this varies by ground and by night.
Traditional chaniya choli or kediyu is standard and some venues enforce it. Whatever you wear, footwear matters most — open grounds are dusty and you will be on your feet for hours.
