Navratri on SG Highway, Ahmedabad 2026
SG Highway is the spine of west Ahmedabad and the corridor most people mean when they say they are going for Garba. The grounds along it are large, well-connected and consistently the busiest in the city during Navratri.
That connectivity is also the problem. SG Highway traffic on a Navratri weekend is genuinely severe, and the venues furthest from an exit are the ones worth leaving earliest for.
Where SG Highway is
SG Highway runs north–south through west Ahmedabad, linking Sola and Gota in the north to Sarkhej in the south, with Bopal, Shela and Makarba branching off it. Most large Navratri grounds in the city sit on or within a few minutes of this corridor.
