The best two-thirds of a Garba night, condensed. The floor is full from the moment you arrive, the sound is at its peak, and at grounds with a Mandli section you get the whole of it rather than catching the end. For experienced dancers this is a better night than an 8:00 PM start, not a worse one.
Families with young children, anyone with work the next morning, and anyone still learning the steps. The late hours are when the tempo is highest and the circle is least forgiving — the window for picking up Garba is the first ninety minutes of an early-start ground, and a 10:00 PM event does not have one.
This is the practical catch. Grounds empty in a rush whenever the Mandli ends, and cab availability on SG Highway at 1:00 or 2:00 AM is genuinely poor. Decide how you are getting back before you commit to staying to the end — this is the single most common regret on a late Ahmedabad Garba night.
